Kathy Arney

Kathy Arney is dedicated to enabling social purpose organizations and people in the sector to reach their full potential.   She is Founder and CEO (Chief Encouragement Officer) of KEA Canada, a firm focused on building capacity, accelerating revenue and maximizing impact for the sector.  Kathy’s combination of finance and fundraising experience provides a powerful background for helping clients strengthen their organizations and improve their impact. Through KEA Canada, she provides services in a variety of areas including revenue development, capacity-building, strategic planning, board development, campaign planning and management, grant-writing, coaching and training.  She has held senior positions across the country and consulted with a wide variety of social purpose organizations including arts organizations, community and social service organizations and First Nations and Metis lead organizations. Her experience includes working on a grant-writing task force at Queen’s University, successfully helping faculty increase their success. Kathy obtained her MFA-P (Master Financial Advisor – Philanthropy) designation in February 2021 and currently sits on the Board of CAGP (Canadian Association of Gift Planners) and guides others through giving in their will as a Will Power Advisor. In her spare time you can find her enjoying the outdoors – usually with her dogs, and singing in a choir and with the Castle Carolers Quartet during the holiday season.
